Wisconsin: Nov 2022 Changes for File Submission via sFTP (Change to port 22)

In November 2022, all WI ePDMP file submissions via sFTP at sftpprod.wi.gov will be transitioned to port 22. At that time, port 8604 will be decommissioned.

IF YOU ARE NOT ALREADY USING PORT 22, you must configure your sFTP software or your pharmacy software to point to port 22 before the end of October 2022. If you are already submitting via sFTP on port 22 or if you do not submit your files via sFTP, no action is required.

To prepare for this transition, please reset the password on the ePDMP Pharmacy or Submitter account you use for file submission. This will ensure the username and password work for sFTP submission on both port 8604 and port 22. To perform a password reset, navigate to the WI ePDMP website, log in using your existing username and password, and follow the Password Reset prompts under User Settings.

As soon as your password has been changed, you may begin using port 22 at sftpprod.wi.gov for your sFTP file submissions. Your sFTP credentials are the same as the username and password you use to log in to your pharmacy or submitter account on the WI ePDMP website. If your pharmacy software vendor or another entity submits via sFTP on your behalf, please ensure they have your updated credentials.

Please note that additional network security measures are in place on the sFTP server on port 22. You must ensure that your network security protocols are compatible with TLS 1.2 or higher to be able to submit via sFTP on port 22. You may need to check with your network security team about making sure TLS 1.2 is enabled.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
