Louisiana ASAP Version Change from 4.2 to 4.2B (8/1/2022)

As a follow up to a previous communication thread below, the following is currently being distributed by the Louisiana PMP.

The Louisiana Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP) reporting requirements will be transitioning from the ASAP 4.2 format to ASAP 4.2B as of August 1, 2022. The Louisiana Data Submission Guide for Dispensers for both ASAP 4.2 and 4.2B are available on the PMP page of the Board website at www.pharmacy.la.gov. Please familiarize yourself with the new reporting requirements and make sure your software vendor is aware of the upcoming changes. Do not submit data in the ASAP 4.2B format until August 1, 2022. Once the transition to ASAP 4.2B is complete, any data not submitted in the appropriate format will generate errors. We appreciate your assistance in making this a smooth transition.

Please find attached an excerpt from the guide detailing data field DSP24. The Louisiana Data Submission Dispenser Guide for both ASAP 4.2 and 4.2B are available under the PMP section of the Board website at www.pharmacy.la.gov.
