Louisiana: Doctor, nurse indicted for distribution of Adderall, hydrocodone

A federal grand jury returned indictments on two medical professionals for illegally obtaining and distributing controlled substances.

Dr. Jeffrey L. Evans, Jr., 65, of Mansfield, Louisiana, and Debra E. Craig, 66, of Converse, Louisiana, were each indicted by a federal grand jury on Wednesday for illegally obtaining and distributing controlled substances.

Evans was a physician practicing in Mansfield and Craig served as an LPN at his medical clinic and was assigned to work with Evans.

The indictment alleges that beginning Jan. 2, 2014, until March 9, 2022, Evans and Craig conspired togetherand with other individuals to obtain hydrocodone and Adderall by fraud.
